SNOWS Motor Group has increased its footprint at Newbury Motor Park in Berkshire, by opening a bigger Kia dealership and launching a new Car Centre for used vehicles.
The two businesses operate alongside a long-established Snows Peugeot dealership at the busy location a mile or so south of the town centre.
Kia’s new home in Newbury features the South Korean manufacturer’s latest corporate identity. A former Honda site, the dealership has space for five new cars to be displayed, full workshop facilities for MOT testing and servicing, and three 22kW EV chargers.
Also available is a wide range of used Kia cars plus plenty of customer parking and areas for valeting and vehicle preparation. Snows operates two other Kia dealerships: one in Basingstoke, the other in Guildford.
Aaron Valentine, Kia Franchise Sales Manager for the dealer group, explained that Kia had outgrown its previous home in Newbury, a few hundred yards away. So when the opportunity to move and expand presented itself, Snows jumped at the chance.
The former Kia building now houses a Snows Car Centre, which has a selection of up to 40 top-quality used vehicles for sale.
Valentine said: ‘‘Our Newbury Kia dealership had been in its previous home since around 2017 but we had reached the point at which it was too small and not fit for purpose. We even had offsite servicing taking place in our Peugeot building.
‘‘The Kia brand has grown unbelievably in recent years thanks to the appeal of models such as Niro, Sportage and EV6. Last year, Kia sold 100,000 units in the UK – a really significant milestone. The cars are good, they are well-designed and the seven-year warranty is a big draw.
‘‘Kia is well-known for being a leader in electrification and its cars represent excellent value for money. Operating in a larger building may involve some additional expense but the brand demands it.’’
Aaron heads up a 12-strong team at Snows Kia Newbury, including sales staff and service advisers. The number of technicians has been increased from two to four, to make full use of the enhanced facilities now available.
A few hundred yards away sits a newly-launched Snows Car Centre. With dozens of high-quality used vehicles for sale, it is already proving hugely popular with motorists in Newbury and the surrounding area.
