Vauxhall has appointed Andrew West, previously the firm’s Retail Network Development Director, as Aftersales Director. The new role carries responsibility for all Vauxhall UK & Opel Ireland aftersales, sales and marketing and warehouse operations.

West who has experience of network and franchising field operations has been with Vauxhall for 13 years. Prior to joining GM he was with Peugeot and Nissan.

Reacting to the news, West said, “I’m very happy to be offered this new challenge. Aftersales is a vital area of the business and with Lifetime Warranty I’m looking forward to raising the bar even further in the market place and providing the highest levels of service.”

Andy Robson, until now Vauxhall’s National Retail Sales Manager, will take over from West as Retail Network Director is Andy Robson. Robson is a Vauxhall veteran having been with the Luton operation for 26 years, originally as a business apprentice he has worked his way through various roles in sales and marketing.

Commenting on the latest promotion, Robson says, “This is a wonderful opportunity for me to oversee Vauxhall’s retail network during an important time in the company’s history,” said Andy. “We have the strongest product portfolio ever and a long list of exciting new launches on the horizon.”

Both West and Robson’s new roles will report directly to Vauxhall’s MD, Duncan Aldred.
