DEBBIE Fox has been appointed as Managing Director of vehicle compliance and maintenance platform r2c Online as the firm looks to further develop its connected and digital solutions.

She joins from sister Fleetcor company epyx, where she was Commercial Director, and replaces Tim Meadows, who has returned to epyx as Chief Operating Officer.

She has worked in the automotive industry for 35 years, in finance, leasing, data and software sectors and has spent the last few years at epyx forming the firm’s strategic agenda and developing the connected vehicle initiatives the firm is now bringing to market.

The expertise in connected vehicles will prove particularly valuable for r2c Online as it looks to expand its offering, which already includes one of the largest digital communities of transport operators, suppliers and repairers.

At the same time, r2c is also planning to roll out developments of its existing platforms such as Tech Assist, Drive Assist and Response.

Fox said: “The transportation and logistics sector has faced many challenges over the past few years, and I’m sure there are some more to come. At r2c Online we offer innovative digital solutions to many of these, and are developing many more that help make fleet operations more efficient, take the burden off managers and get vehicles back on the road faster, and more economically.

“In future, our connected solutions will facilitate all of this in ever more intelligent ways and so it’s a really exciting time to be joining r2c, and to be able to apply what I know in this area to provide customers with transformational new technologies for their business.

“Having been through similar projects with epyx, and being part of the Fleetcor family I’m already familiar with many of the people and processes here, and very much looking forward to evolving our solutions in line with our customers pain points.”

In a separate move, r2c’s Head of Sales and Customer Success, Ash Connell, has been promoted to the newly-created role of Commercial Director.

He has been with r2c for four years and has also spent five years in a number of account management roles at sister company epyx.

Ash said: “I’m thrilled to take on this newly-created role as the company enters a pivotal phase of its development.”
