Jennings Motor Group has opened a new Subway store within its Stockton Kia dealership.
The store is owned by Nas Khan, managing director of Jennings Motor Group, and managed by his daughter, Natasha Khan. Nas Khan, commeneted; “We are delighted to launch the new Subway store at our Kia dealership in Stockton, which is also creating nine jobs for local people.
“It is the perfect venue and indeed location for such a successful brand and will be a great complement to our dealership.”
There are now over 500 Subway stores open in non-traditional locations, but only two are located in UK car dealerships (the Skipton Ford dealership in North Yorkshire is the other). Jennings Motor Group’s branch will expect to serve the dealership’s customers and staff, local people, businesses and passing trade.
Greg Madigan, Area Development Manager for Subway UK and Ireland, added; “Non-traditional locations are a key area of growth for the Subway brand in the UK and Ireland. The simple operations that are involved in running a Subway franchise and the convenience offer makes it a perfect fit for these style locations, in this case for dealership customers and those visiting the store.”
