Combined with Carwow’s content, which includes its YouTube channel that generated over 1.1bn video views in 2023, the acquisition significantly expands Carwow’s audience reach. It will add to Carwow’s advertising and e-commerce capabilities for its car manufacturer and dealer partners, to help meet growing digital demand.

In the first half of 2023, the total number of individual dealers making bids rose by 42%, and the total number of offers made by those dealers increased by 99%. Even more of those bids are turning into transactions, with dealer purchases from online auctions in the first half of 2023 growing by 60% compared to the second half of 2022.

The acquisition will help carwow users sell their current car as soon as they’ve configured their new one on the site. While it has had a ‘Sell Your Car’ feature live for a number of years, it has only been able to provide a single offer from a single provider.  By leveraging Wizzle’s technology platform, carwow will be able to provide multiple offers to customers and prioritise offering cars to dealer partners directly.
