Jennings Motor Group has recruited from within for the sales manager role at its new Kia and Mazda dealership in Sunderland. James Chorlton, takes up the job transferring from the group’s existing Mazda dealership in Middlesbrough,
James has been franchise manager at Jennings’ Mazda Middlesbrough site for the past 10 years. In his new role James will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the dealership, achieving monthly and quarterly sales objectives for both manufacturers, liaising with customers, in addition to overseeing a team of eight staff.
James has been with Jennings since 2000 when he joined as a sales executive at the company’s former Ford dealership at Neville’s Cross in Durham. He moved on up to the sales controller/business manager and franchise manager at other sites within the group prior to his latest appointment.
James commented, “I’m delighted to have been given another opportunity to further progress my career within the company and look forward to building the Mazda and Kia brands in Wearside.
“The new dealership is in a prominent location directly adjacent to Sunderland Football Club’s Stadium of Light on Stadium Way, and already new car sales have got off to a good start with a number of customers having already taken delivery of their new Mazda and Kia cars.”
