The Managing Director of the Jennings Motor Group, Nas Khan OBE, has been awarded an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration from Teesside University in recognition of his contribution to the economy and for his charity work.

Nas commented, “I’m delighted to have been awarded the honorary degree from Teesside University, it was an absolute privilege attending and being part of the graduation ceremony.”

Nas came to the UK from Pakistan at the age of 14 and retains close links to his country of birth via his charity work. He founded The Emaan Foundation, teaming up with Human Appeal International with the aim to rebuild an entire village for the people of Rahim Yar Khan, south of Punjab in Pakistan, following devastating floods.

As MD of Jennings Motor Group Khan is responsible for employing more than 500 staff in the North East and West Yorkshire-based branch network. The company pledges support to a specific charity on an annual basis.  2015 saw more than £13,000 being raised for Teesside Hospice and last year more than £135,000 was raised for the Great North Air Ambulance Service. Nas added; “We will continue to build on a name synonymous with quality and an excellent customer service.”
