Jennings Ford Direct has made the third appointment to its sales team in recent weeks, with Gethin Williams, joining the 12-strong team at Newcastle Road dealership in South Shields.
Gethin Williams, 33, originally from Caernarfon in North Wales, and currently living in Sunderland is the latest sales exec to join the South Shields business as part of an ongoing recruitment drive.
Gethin commented, “I’ve always had an interest in cars and been keen to learn about the sales side of the motor industry, but there just didn’t seem to be any opportunities available, until now that is. The job was advertised online and after an interview, I was delighted when it was offered to me. This is a fantastic opportunity for me and a challenge I am very much looking forward to.”
Gethin left school with a number of GCSE qualifications and went on to study Travel and Tourism at his local college. After working for a number of years as a travel advisor for a major tour operator, and progressing to gain management Gethin left the travel industry to work as a customer service advisor at a call centre in Sunderland.
Jennings’ General Sales Manager, David Walker, commented on Gethin’s appointment, “Gethin’s appointment is part of an on-going recruitment drive in order to meet the demand from customers for Ford’s wide range of quality approved used cars. His previous roles have entailed gaining invaluable experience in both customer service and sales, which will go hand in hand in his new role at Jennings Ford Direct.”
