An outlet in Aberdeenshire has topped the annual Dealer of the Year Awards presented by KGM Motors UK, at the end of a period which has seen completion of the transition by the Korean 4×4 brand from its previous incarnation as SsangYong.
The awards, presented by KGM brand ambassador and TV personality Fuzz Townshend during a black-tie event held at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane in London, are designed to highlight dedication and excellence in sales and aftersales across the KGM network on both national and regional levels.
Named overall Dealer of the Year was Station Garage in Torphins, Aberdeenshire, the centre winning for what KGM management described as its remarkable performance across all business areas. Station Garage also took home the National Sales Award and the Regional Sales Award.
Founded in 1979 in a typical village location, Station Garage has built a strong reputation over more than four decades, expanding in 1986 to accommodate growing demand. Today, it is described as a cornerstone of the local community, offering new and used KGM sales alongside comprehensive aftersales services.
B. V. Rees in Cardigan and KGM Hereford took runners-up accolades in the Dealer of the Year, joining Station Garage to also take the top three places in the national sales category awards.
The National Aftersales Award was presented to Lamb and Gardiner, based in Coupar Angus in Perth & Kinross. C.S.G Pollitt in Exeter took second place with third awarded to Stourport-on-Seven-based Fields KGM.
KGM Motors UK managing director Kevin Griffin described the awards as demonstrating the commitment to excellence across the brand’s entire network. “I’d extend my congratulations to each winning dealership for their continued dedication and hard work – we look forward to even greater accomplishments in the year ahead,” he said.
