MOTOR dealers will now be able to search, identify and value cars, motorcycles, LCVs and HGVs faster than ever as automotive data expert cap hpi has enhanced its Valuation Anywhere product.

Simple search has been integrated into the Valuation Anywhere online tool allowing dealership employees to access thousands of models and derivatives without specialist vehicle product knowledge or the need for time-consuming manual searches.

Valuation Anywhere is designed to help dealers make smarter purchase, disposal and part-exchange decisions. Prior to the introduction of free text searches, vehicle values were identified by using the VRM lookup or manual lookup function.

Valuation Anywhere gives dealers access to 62,000 VRM-based car IDs and mileage-adjusted valuations within seconds.

Dealers no longer need to know every detail relating to the vehicle which can include the manufacturer, model, range and derivative in order to carry out a comprehensive search.

The simple search means the same vehicle data can be accessed instantly and anywhere, although, for dealers who prefer to conduct a manual search, this option is still available.

The modification is free and is integrated into Valuation Anywhere’s functionality.

Claire Atkinson, product manager at cap hpi, said: “Initial reaction to tests of the enhancement has so far been very positive. We’re continually looking at ways to improve efficiency through innovation as we fully recognise this can help to translate to showroom and forecourt sales.

“With this latest enhancement to Valuation Anywhere, we are aiming to help dealers save valuable time by cutting out the amount of information required to carry out manual searches.

“Sometimes manual searches can be difficult as well as time-consuming for dealers as they don’t have all the information required or the VRM to lookup. Our new simple search capability completely removes this from the equation giving dealers swifter and easier access to the vehicles they are interested in.

“Hopefully, this will not only make a significant improvement to customer service levels but also to profit margins and stock turn.”
