THE Paul Rigby Group has announced a new solus remarketing agreement with Aston Barclay which will see the West-Midlands-based dealer group sell used cars at Donington Park.

It will sell dealer part exchanges at Donington’s Tuesday dealer sale and ex-fleet stock at its Thursday sale. Paul Rigby chose Aston Barclay as it felt its stock profile of value dealer part exchanges and older fleet stock were best served by a physical and online buyer audience.

Paul Rigby is one of the few family-owned dealer groups left in the UK and runs seven franchised businesses in the UK, two Volvo, two MG, one LEVC, one Hyundai and one Polestar. It expects to sell around 1,000 units through Aston Barclay in its first year.

The Paul Rigby remarketing team will use the Aston Barclay e-Valuate appraisal and inspection app which collates key vehicle data and imagery to produce accurate vehicle listings.

It will also be using Aston Barclay’s e-Hub disposal management portal which gives instant access to data and insight into its used car sales activity.

“We appointed Aston Barclay as they were one of the few auction houses in the Midlands offering joint physical and online sales which best suits our stock profile. Having access to an appraisal and inspection app will be very powerful and e-Hub will give us an immediate overview of our used car sales activity.

“As a family-run business we offer a personal service and we felt their business values matched ours and we look forward to working together,” said Andy Kirkham, Sales Director of the Paul Rigby Group.

Mark Hankey, Aston Barclay’s Chief Revenue Officer said: “We look forward to welcoming Paul Rigby’s stock to Donington and are pleased they recognise the power of our hybrid physical/online auction proposition.”
