Bristol Street Motors Bolton Ford has appointed Lee Swindells, as its new general manager. Lee replaces Darren Murray, who has been promoted to become Ford regional director at Bristol Street Motors.

Lee Swindells, has 26 years’ of experience in the motor retail industry, all with the Ford brand. At 16he joined a Youth Training Scheme, which started a career in the automotive retail sector, that lead all the way to his most recent dealer principal role in the Manchester region.

Lee joins the Vertu owned dealership following its £3million, six month-long upgrade. The site now has a larger showroom, a new workshop area, complete with additional vehicle ramps, commercial vehicle ramps and MOT lanes. As a result the site now has FordStore status, which permits sales of the Vignale range and the Mustang.

Lee, general manager at Bristol Street Motors Bolton Ford said: “The dealership has a prominent presence in the area, even more so following its recent refurbishments. When I became aware of the new position, I jumped at the chance to join the team.“The company has a fantastic reputation for delivering first-class service to its customers but also, rather importantly continues to invest in the development and training of its colleagues. I’m excited to play a part in that personal growth, while overseeing the progression and development of the dealership itself.”
