LOOKERS has opened its new 90,000 square-foot Volkswagen outlet in Battersea, London.

The York Road site is a prime location on the South Bank, close to Clapham Junction and the busy A3205. Lookers has operated at the location for more than four decades.

The showroom sits at the bottom two floors of a new high-rise, 170-dwelling apartment building, built in a joint investment with Linden Homes.

Bespoke showroom graphics have been deployed to highlight the similarities between the historic power stations of Battersea and Wolfsburg and help customers locate electric vehicle charging points in the local area. All customers can enjoy a coffee shop, hospitality areas and children’s play rooms onsite.

Dedicated areas for different types of vehicle feature, such as electric cars, VW’s range of SUVs and its family cars, with the site displaying 17 new and 90 used cars in total.

Service customers drive into fully-covered parking and are catered for by 14 service and repair bays, and two MOT bays, with Technicians equipped with the latest tools and training to cater for all Volkswagen vehicles, including the growing electric range.

Chris Stevens, Head of Network Development at Volkswagen UK, said: “Being in such a central location in London means that customers in the heart of London have a great place to go to look into the Volkswagen range.”
