Isuzu has celebrated 125,000 total vehicle sales in the UK since the brand entered the market in 1987.
The brand entered the UK market with the Trooper SUV, and now sells only the D-Max pick-up truck, with the company referring to itself as ‘The Pick-Up Professionals’.
Alan Able, managing director at Isuzu UK, said: “With our manufacturer warranty of 125,000 miles, it is a fitting milestone for us to celebrate 125,000 vehicle sales in the UK.
“Isuzu has an impressive portfolio of iconic and highly respected models since its introduction to the UK market in 1987, from the tough Trooper, all the way to the current generation D-Max.”
Since launching the D-Max in 2012, it has represented more than half of the brand’s total vehicles sold in the UK.
2024 was a record sales year for the pick-up truck, with 6,574 sold in the UK, taking 17.5% of the total pick-up truck market, and making Isuzu the second largest pick-up brand in the country.
Earlier this year, Isuzu updated the D-Max with new styling, a reversing camera, and new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS): intelligent adaptive cruise control, attention assist, turn assist, and traffic jam assist.
The latest version of the truck also features rough terrain mode, wireless infotainment, and a tyre pressure monitoring system
An electric version of the D-Max was revealed at the 2025 CV show, set to be the first fully electric commercial-grade pick-up truck in the European market, with UK deliveries set to begin in 2026.
The D-Max EV will feature a 1-tonne payload, 3.5 tonnes of towing capacity, and full-time four-wheel-drive.
Able continued: “It has certainly been a nostalgic experience looking back through our journey.
“Going forward, we are excited to continue this legacy as we look to embrace new technologies and ideas that shape the future of our industry.”
