HERD Group has promoted Gemma Dickson to Sales Director to head up the key Group business sectors of Herd Business, Herd Connect Fleet Management (sales), Herd Zero and the myHerd Franchise Network which encompasses the brands of Herd Hire and Camper Tribe.
Dickson’s innovative and entrepreneurial qualities will shine as a newly named member of the Herd Group board of directors joining CEO, Nigel Schroder along with Operations Director, Jason Rogerson, and Finance Director, Anthony Moss in shaping the future of the Herd Group.
Herd Group CEO Nigel Schroder said “I am extremely pleased to appoint Gemma as Herd Group Sales Director, she has progressed hugely in the company over the last 4 years and has been a key member of the team in driving the business through the uncertainty of the last 18 months into a really healthy position.”
Since joining the company in 2017, Dickson has been instrumental in delivering record breaking sales results which has led to various promotions, from starting out as a BDM, then National Sales Manager, through to Head of Sales and this well-deserved new appointment.
Dickson said “having started my internship in the automotive sector as a young 20-year-old, in a very male dominant industry, I would never have visioned that at the age of 37, I would become a Group Sales Director sitting on the Operational Board of a leading vehicle rental specialist and fleet management company. I have worked with a lot of great people that have supported and mentored me along the way and I thank them all. I am excited to be moving into this expanding role, we have some ambitious growth plans and I’m looking forward to working alongside Nigel and the incredible team at Herd to achieve these.”
Employee development is widely recognised at Herd as an essential tool for successful growth, productivity, and ability to retain its best employees. Gemma is part of several organisational changes to support our growth and development plans for 2022 and beyond.
