AS 2018 draws to a close Motors.co.uk has revealed the most viewed used cars of the year.
Ford dominated the rankings with the Fiesta crowned the most sought after used car of 2018 with the Focus in second place.
Third was the Volkswagen Golf followed by the Vauxhall Corsa and the BMW 3 series in fifth place. The only new entrant in the Top 10 was the Nissan Qashqai which moved from eleventh place in 2017 to tenth place in 2018.
One of the most popular segments identified by the Motors.co.uk research was prestige cars which also had four entries – BMW 3 series, Mercedes-Benz C-class, Audi A3 and BMW 1 series in the overall Top 10.
Medium-sized family cars also proved to be a particularly popular market segment with the top four searched cars – Ford Focus, VW Golf, Nissan Qashqai and Vauxhall Astra – remaining the same in 2018 as in 2017, albeit with Qashqai and Astra swopping places.
Competition was also fierce in the 4X4 sector with the Range Rover Evoque the most viewed vehicle, closely followed by the Ford Kuga in second place and the Range Rover Sport in third place.
