PIPPA Haigh, Senior Sales Executive at Farnell Land Rover Guiseley has been announced as a winner at the 2019 Barclaycard Everywoman in Retail Awards.
Haigh started at Guiseley Land Rover at 19 years old as a Customer Support Assistant, and less than three years later is a very much respected and successful member of the sales team.
She is currently the company’s top performing Premium Franchise Sales Executive and has been fundamental in helping the Land Rover Guiseley business achieve an 82.3% CSI score, with the national average sitting at 73%.
For her outstanding efforts she has been recognised as winner in the company’s annual group Masters Awards. The judges admired her ability to turn down previous jobs that didn’t align with her values and her laser-like focus on what she wants to do.
Haigh won the Rising Star award, that was awarded to a woman under 30 who is excelling in her career, making a valuable contribution to her to her organisation.
Seven winners were selected by a judging panel of industry heavyweights including senior women from Barclaycard, Specsavers, John Lewis and Hotel Chocolat.
Choosing from 23 finalists, the judges recognised outstanding women and men whose roles and businesses reflect the changing face of today’s retail industry and the ways it has evolved to encompass a wider range of career opportunities than ever before.
The uncertainty of the high street, the rise of the digital economy, ecommerce and ever-changing customer expectations has created both challenges and opportunities within retail.
The winners include founders of fast-growing brands offering bespoke services and women spearheading the most complex operations at some of the country’s largest retailers, such as Sainsbury’s Argos and Gap.
