LATEST guidance from the Government means that car dealers can re-open, but new car business is click and collect only.
The Department for Business confirmed that car showrooms are to remain closed for the time being.
It added: “All retail, other than those exempt, must close their premises to members of the public. However, staff may be present to make deliveries or provide services in response to orders such as those through telephone, online, or mail.
“Click and collect services can also operate, though customers must not enter premises listed.”
Full details are on the Department for Business website.
Earlier this week the Prime Minister indicated that car showrooms are likely to open on June 1 as part of the second stage strategy to restart the economy.
