DRIVERS can now compare instant local prices and book a service specifically for their electric vehicle (EV) through

The new EV servicing price comparison capability not only enables drivers to compare a range of great prices, but also choose a garage that is suitably qualified to work on EVs.

Alongside the latest EV servicing comparison capability, has also launched a new EV content hub on the website. The hub comprises a series of user-friendly guides to give current and prospective EV owners a comprehensive overview to EV ownership.

With the increased popularity of EVs – reaching 14% new car market share YTD – drivers need to ensure that they understand the details of EV ownership and have a reliable source of EV servicing options; both of which’s latest offering can provide.

The EV servicing facility will help drive revenue into garages as the car parc of new – and older segment 2 and 3 – EVs continues to accelerate.

Karen Rotberg, co-founder of BookMyGarage, said, “Our new booking capability for EV servicing is in direct response to the rapid rise in EV popularity in recent years. More EVs were sold in March than in the whole of 2019. And the pool of EVs aged three years or more is growing too.

“From a servicing, maintenance and repair perspective, these electrified vehicles have different demands, and we want to ensure that drivers can easily find a qualified garage and compare the best possible prices locally.

“We have also widened our EV focus with the launch of our EV Hub. We want to support EV drivers by providing them with a comprehensive set of guides that not only helps to inform current EV owners, but also enables those that are considering their first steps towards switching to electric.”

The newly launched EV Hub features several articles focussed on commonly asked questions, including:

  • How far can electric vehicles go?
  • Which EVs have the longest range?
  • Why should you buy an EV?
  • How much does it cost to run an EV?
  • How can you charge an EV at home without a driveway?

The hub is not just for owners of EVs, but for anyone who needs more information on the topic in general. The hub is available here

Whilst drivers could previously compare MOT prices for their EVs through, the additional servicing functionality and the EV Hub mark the comparison site’s drive to make EV ownership easier than ever before.
