ADESA UK has boosted its presence in Scotland by joining the Scottish Motor Trade Association (SMTA), which will provide dealer members with free access to its digital remarketing services.

From now SMTA members can post trade-outs and unwanted part-exchanges on the ADESA UPSTREAM platform free of charge. Members will also have free access to ADESA’s Intelligent Vehicle Inspection (IVI) service, the app-based tool which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically generate condition reports.

This marks ADESA’s second strategic move in Scotland this year, following it partnering with Edinburgh-based QA Vehicle Solutions in March to provide defleeting services to corporate customers.

Eddie Thomson, ADESA UK’s Head of Business Development, said: “The SMTA has strong representation across Scotland with over 1,400 member sites from sole traders right up to some of the biggest franchised groups in the UK. We’re delighted to be able to introduce its members to our digital-only remarketing platform.

“Our services will enable dealers to remarket cars while they continue to be displayed on their forecourts and websites, maximising their selling opportunities.

“We’re confident we can sell these vehicles quickly for dealers on our digital platform and once they’re sold we can arrange onward transportation with one of our approved providers.”

SMTA members will also be offered discounted bodywork repairs for vehicles using QA Vehicle Solutions’ defleeting facilities.
