ONLY around 30% of consumers use the dealer find finance for used cars.

For some dealers, this figure can be significantly lower so Jigsaw has launched Finance Assist as a free remote Business Manager service.

Mel White, Jigsaw’s Business Development Director said ease and discretion are critical aspects of the new service;

“The shift to online finance does not meet the needs of every car buyer; especially those who may need an extra level of assistance and not every dealer is comfortable talking about finance.

“There is a gap in the market and we have filled it. Now, dealers can advertise access to Finance Assist as the personal way to help their potential car buyers.”

Finance Assist has been designed to help a broad range of dealers. Typically, the service will appeal to those who need support to help them in cases such as business user finance, customers requiring a high level of care or expertise to arrange finance, or on those occasions where they simply are time-short.

There is also the potential to help dealers who historically have let customers sort out their own finance to promote the service online and benefit from the rising customer take up of dealer finance

White added: “Finance Assist is designed to be an integral part of a dealer’s business; on the phone ready to talk directly to the customer to help the dealer close the sale; we are giving dealers expertise and saving them time.”

Finance Assist is designed to help; from the straightforward to the more complicated cases, such as customers with past credit issues and business users.
