Automobili Lamborghini has released its first Sustainability Report, offering a view of the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, and reaffirming its commitment to responsible innovation.
The report outlines key developments in decarbonisation, inclusion, and governance, while highlighting the brand’s transition to a fully hybrid product range.
The report covers the company’s activities from 1st January to 31st December 2024, benchmarking progress against the previous year and detailing more than 70 indicators across its operations.
It was published following a collaborative development process involving more than 50 company representatives and 100 cross-functional working sessions, with engagement from external stakeholders.
Lamborghini’s said its strategy is closely tied to its ‘Direzione Cor Tauri’ roadmap, which aims to reduce emissions while enhancing performance.
The launch of its first fully hybrid super sports car line – including the Revuelto, Urus SE and Temerario – forms a central part of this transition.
Compared to their internal combustion counterparts, these new models have delivered substantial CO₂ reductions, such as an 80% cut in emissions for the Urus SE versus the Urus Performante.
At the manufacturing level, Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese site has been certified carbon neutral for 10 consecutive years, maintained through continued investment in trigeneration, photovoltaic systems, and energy efficiency.
In 2024, self-generated energy increased by 22%, while waste recovery improved by 15% year-on-year.
Total emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) reached 851,132 t CO₂e, growing at a slower pace than production and revenue, demonstrating the effectiveness of the company’s integrated sustainability strategy.
The report outlined Lamborghini’s social priorities, with a focus on employee wellbeing, inclusion, and community engagement.
A performance review system now covers the majority of the workforce, while initiatives around inclusive leadership, unconscious bias training and career development are supporting a more diverse and representative organisation.
Women’s participation across the business, including in leadership roles, has increased steadily.
Lamborghini said its ‘Feelosophy’ programme plays a central role in promoting holistic wellbeing, combining mental and physical health with corporate purpose.
Lamborghini also remains engaged in education and community initiatives, supporting schools and cultural projects to foster a shared sense of belonging and social impact.
Lamborghini formalised its ESG structures with a dedicated cross-functional sustainability team guiding implementation across departments including R&D, production, sales, HR, and communications.
Sustainability is now fully embedded into strategic planning, risk management and compliance frameworks.
The company applies its S-Rating system to monitor and assess supply chain partners, ensuring external practices align with Lamborghini’s values and standards.
Governance efforts extend to data protection, responsible taxation, and adherence to international regulations.
CEO Stephan Winkelmann said: “With this report, we aim to make visible what is already part of our daily way of working: the idea that innovation, performance and sustainability can coexist and mutually reinforce each other.
“This commitment stems from how we operate and extends to every area of our business.”
Described as a “tool for listening, accountability and direction,” the Sustainability Report formalised Lamborghini’s ESG goals.
