MICHAEL Bell’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer at Available Car keeps things in the family.
He is the grandson of Vernon Ford, founder of Fords of Winsford, and the son of Graham and Alison Bell, founders of Available Car Ltd.
Graham Bell, Chairman of Available Car said: “Michael’s grandfather, Vernon Ford, started his car retail business exactly 60 years ago, and it’s incredibly important to both Alison and I that our family values and traditions continue as our business moves forward.”
After 17 years leading the retail supermarket, Operations Director Paul Arscott has departed to pursue personal and professional pursuits.
Michael Bell’s appointment is part of a strategy to further develop a Senior Management Team to position Available Car at the forefront of used car retail.”
As one of the largest and most successful used car supermarket groups, Available Car has grown rapidly over the last 17 years.
Its first used car supermarket opened in Castle Donington in 2002, followed by Sutton-in-Ashfield in 2007, then Cannock in 2012, and most recently, Leeds, West Yorkshire in January 2016.
