USED car retailer Car Shop is opening its fourth Yorkshire store in Halifax at the beginning of November adding to its other outlets in Wakefield, Doncaster and Sheffield.

CarShop Express Halifax is situated on a site that’s already owned by CarShop’s parent company, Sytner Group, and will support the retailer’s ambitious expansion plans.

This follows a string of successful Express store openings for the retailer, with CarShop Express Leicester opening at the start of May and CarShop Express Leighton Buzzard opening just two months ago.

Nigel Hurley, Chief Executive of CarShop, said: “Like with our two other Express stores, customers can browse our thousands of makes and models online before getting a car moved to the store for a test drive or collection, completely for free. However now, they can also pop into CarShop Express Halifax to browse the store’s range of 70 cars on-site too – all of which have been hand-picked for the local area.”

CarShop Express Halifax will cover 14,520 sq. ft and hold features such as pods where customers can speak to an Express Specialist and comfortable waiting areas.

Fifteen new positions have been created as a result of this opening, including one Head of Business, one Business Operations Manager, one Customer Service Consultant, eight Express Specialists, two Service Technicians, an Accounts Administrator and a Vehicle Technician – the last two of which are still being recruited for on the CarShop Careers page.
