Aston Barclay’s Donington Park site has landed a solus disposal contract with Robins and Day.

The deal will see the Peugeot, Citroen and DS retailers sell approximately 8,000 unwanted part exchanges through Donington Park at weekly Tuesday sales, starting on the 17 October.

James Weston, chief executive of Robins and Day, commented on the deal, “Aston Barclay is changing the face of remarketing by successfully combining online and physical. It’s a powerful combination which we liked the look of during our 12-month trial. By giving buyers the opportunity to buy digitally, physically or via an App we are catering for their preferred purchase method which should help us sell more used cars.”

“Donington Park will give us a strong geographical location from which to base our UK remarketing hub. Rutland’s investment in Aston Barclay has built Donington into a first class auction environment.”

Rob Wittridge, Aston Barclay’s group national sales manager added, “Our new proposition has been warmly welcomed by vendors and buyers alike. Combined with our flexible in-house collection and delivery service we are offering a very different and dynamic proposition compared to the larger auction providers.”
