West Country dealer group FJ Chalke as received a long-service award from Nissan for its Yeovil, Somerset outlet, celebrating 25 years with the Japanese brand.
FJ Chalke managing director Steve Fowler received the award from Nissan network development and customer quality director Matt Duncan.
The family-run dealer group, set up in 1929 and with outlets across South Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire, began representing Nissan in Yeovil in 1999, 12 years after its first Nissan dealership, in Wincanton, started trading in 1987.
The Yeovil dealership – at Fusion Park, West Hendford – has a nine-car showroom, space for 120 used vehicles and a fully-equipped workshop.
It also boasts 10 electric charging bays and can generate its own electricity using solar panels on the roof. Rain water is also harvested to reduce reliance on the mains water supply.
The 16-strong dealer team is headed up by Branch Director Mark Swain, Sales Manager Matt Newham and Service Manager Alfie Mann.
Commenting on the award, Steve Fowler said that the company was proud and delighted to have represented Nissan in Yeovil for 25 years.
He added; ‘‘I’d like to take this opportunity to thank staff at both our Nissan dealerships for their hard work and commitment – and here’s to the relationship between FJ Chalke and Nissan going from strength to strength in the years to come.’’
