Fleet industry body the BVRLA is to relaunch its code of conduct at a webinar taking place later this month.
The event is taking place on March 31 at 11am and will include an update on changes to the code such as booking information and reservations, a detailed explanation about the code being backed up by an enhanced governance framework and what that includes, a breakdown of what customers should expect at the start of their rental, how optional products and services should be explained to a customer, and handling customer charges including damage at the end of a rental agreement
Robert Shaw, operations director of Europcar and chairman of the BVRLA rental committee and guest speaker for the webinar, highlighted what the revised code would mean for Europcar. He said: “We will be reviewing and making changes where necessary to our website, rental procedures, training programmes and terms and conditions.
“We will also have a programme of on-going internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance to the BVRLA code.”
