Vic Young runs second recruitment drive of 2016

Vic Young (South Shields) Ltd has conducted a second recruitment drive this year – adding nine new staff. The Newcastle Road, South Shields, Mitsubishi dealer made nine appointments across a number of departments including rental, bodybuilding, servicing, workshop and digital marketing. 

Paul Rooney has joined as Hire and Account Manager for the rental department. Overseeing the day to day running of the department and the hire of vehicles, Paul is also responsible for managing accounts and generating new business.  Prior to joining Vic Young, Paul worked as branch manager for a leading car hire company.

Paul said: “Working as a manager for Vic is a breath of fresh air, as he has given me the freedom to fully control all aspects of my role, from workload, to targeting specific accounts and new avenues of business. There are many benefits for working at Vic Young, however the experience and knowledge within the staffing base is key for my personal development.”

Laura Mitchell-Hall has been appointed as Digital Marketing Coordinator to manage the firm’s digital marketing.  Laura will be responsible for promoting the firm’s digital presence across a number of platforms with a goal of driving lead conversions, engagement and revenue.

Laura, who previously worked for a digital web agency, added: “My role was created due to a need to increase our digital marketing presence. Although I have only been here a short time, the first thing that struck me is that there is a real team spirit – everyone has been great helping me to settle in.”

Caron Warby has been appointed Conversions Coordinator to support the firm’s conversion department. Samuel Herd, Steven Gray, James Reay and Shaun Thorburn have also joined the Vic Young team as mechanics, while Harry Dugdale has been appointed to the bodybuilding team.
