Motor Codes launch Garage of the Year 2015

The government-backed, self-regulatory body for the motor industry, Motor Codes, has launched its Garage of the Year for 2015.

The organisation is asking consumers who have received first class service to rate their garage at motorcodes.co.uk/motorist/garage-of-the-year/motorist-prize.html. Top performing garages from across each UK regions will be shortlisted in a process that will lead to honours being awarded on 30th June to the UK’s best car service and repair workshop at a ceremony in London’s Grand Connaught Rooms. Eleven regional winners will also be announced in the week commencing 1st June.

Mark Terry Motor Codes Chief Executive, said: ‘This competition highlights the best garages across the regions. It’s a real opportunity for local garages to showcase their excellent workmanship and first class customer service. The quality and customer service coming out of the motor industry has improved considerably over the years and it’s wonderful to empower the general public in recognising the best in the business.’

The Motor Codes scheme now covers over 7500 main dealer and independent garages. At its core is a Trading Standards Institute-approved codes of practice coupled with consumer online reviews.

Mark Terry continued: ‘By leaving online reviews for garages across the UK network, customers are helping to signpost the very best services in their local area and in turn this drives up standards across the industry’.
