Melett marks 30 years with European show presence as UK demand for turbocharger repairs grows
Darren Johnson said: “As we celebrate 30 years in business, our presence at these major exhibitions reflects the trust our customers place in the Melett name.”
UK-based turbocharger specialist Melett has celebrated its 30th anniversary with a strong presence at three major European aftermarket exhibitions this spring, highlighting continued demand for its precision-engineered products across the continent and in its home market.
The Barnsley-headquartered business, known for its OE-quality turbochargers, CHRAs, actuators and repair kits, exhibited at Rematec in Amsterdam, Motortec in Madrid, and Autopromotec in Bologna.
Across all three shows, Melett demonstrated its expanding product portfolio and engaged with customers and distributors from across Europe, including long-standing partners from the UK.
Darren Johnson, group sales director at Melett, said: “As we celebrate 30 years in business, our presence at these major exhibitions reflects the trust our customers place in the Melett name.
“We’ve seen first-hand the rising demand for high-quality, precision components, driven by global trends towards more efficient and eco-friendly vehicles.”
While the shows served as a platform to strengthen Melett’s global profile, the business said it remains firmly focused on serving the UK market.
Its product range – which supports popular UK vehicle marques including Jaguar Land Rover, VAG, BMW, Hyundai and Kia – continues to gain traction with British remanufacturers and distributors seeking durable repair solutions that match OE performance.
Melett reported that demand in the UK is being fuelled by manufacturers’ shift toward smaller, turbocharged petrol engines to meet emissions targets and improve fuel efficiency.
This has driven the need for robust repair parts that extend the life of modern turbocharged powertrains, creating new opportunities for UK-based turbo specialists.
Johnson added: “Melett has always taken pride in supporting repairers here in the UK with dependable components and expert technical guidance.
“We’re committed to helping our customers stay competitive in a fast-evolving market.”
