Marshall Motor Group has opened its new Nissan outlet in Cambridge.
The group, one of the largest multi-franchise operations in the UK, has created 20 jobs with the new facility which is now the city’s only Nissan new car, approved used car, service and parts franchise.
It becomes the 11th Nissan site operated by Marshall Motor Group, sister sites including locations in Reading, Berkshire; Maidstone in Kent and Kidlington in Oxfordshire.
The new centre includes a six-car showroom, an exterior display area for 40 used vehicles, a six-bay workshop, a number of electric charging points, a customer lounge and a coffee bar.?
Marshall Nissan Cambridge head of business Craig Wilson is delighted to finally be open. “We’re still adding a few finishing touches to the site but we’re very much ready to do business and we have been welcoming many customers who are new to Nissan, as well as others who are familiar with the brand,” he said.
Marshall Nissan franchise director Jon Roberts described the Nissan territory as key to the group. ‘‘The investment we have made in the site demonstrates the value we attach to our relationship with Nissan. The brand currently finds itself in a very strong position, thanks to its continuing focus on hybrid and all-electric technology,” he said.
‘‘Added to that, it’s great to remind customers that models such as Juke, Qashqai and LEAF are built right here in the UK, at Nissan’s hugely successful Sunderland factory. We are pleased to be investing further with Nissan and strengthening the partnership we share, whilst providing our customers with the very best experiences possible.’’
