Epyx’s TyreServe programme has now signed up fourteen of the UK’s leading fleet leasing companies.

Within the last month Lookers, CLM, Zenith, Arnold Clark and Inchcape have joined the programme that sees franchise dealers supplying and fitting tyres in a more flexible network than had been provided in conventional fleet arrangements

.Leasing companies have embraced the concept as it offers their customers the option of a single visit to a franchise dealer to have servicing and tyre fitting carried out, rather than being redirected to a fast-fit.

David Goodyear, commercial director at epyx, commented: “Leasing companies know that it is an irritation for drivers and a waste of resources for their employers if they have to visit a franchise dealer for servicing and then a fast-fit for tyres.

“TyreServe is an easy way to resolve this issue, allowing dealers to easily order tyres for same-day fitting through our platform. It is also competitively priced. Leasing companies can select a fixed price deal or opt for a variable option which tracks the overall market.”

More than 3,193 franchise dealers have signed up to TyreServe, which operates through epyx’s 1link Service Network service and maintenance e-commerce platform.

The addition of a dealer support team has been a plus for dealers, as David explains: “One of the innovations we have added to TyreServe is a specialist team to help franchise dealers compete for tyre business. Most effectively left the tyre market years ago and subsequently have no in-house tyre experience on which to draw.

“Our support team is designed to walk these dealers through the process – from ensuring that tyres are being offered to fleet customers when appropriate opportunities arise through to having the appropriate technical skills and equipment to fit them. Importantly, they are helping to put infrastructures in place so that management teams at these dealers are actively promoting tyres throughout the organisation and monitoring the results.”
