Kia has reported global sales of 274,437 units for April 2025, a 5.0% year-on-year increase, as demand for its SUV line-up and the newly launched EV3 continue to drive momentum across global markets.

Sales outside Korea reached 223,113 units, marking a 4.6% increase compared to April 2024.

The Sportage led the brand’s international performance with 41,034 units, followed by the Seltos with 20,442 units, and a combined 16,666 units of the K3 (Forte) and K4 sedans.

In its home market, Kia recorded 51,005 units, up 7.4% year-on-year.

The Sorento SUV was the top-performing passenger vehicle in Korea with 8,796 sales, followed by the Carnival MPV (7,592 units) and the Sportage (6,703 units).

Kia confirmed that the EV3 led domestic battery-electric model sales last month.

The EV3’s strong global debut has been a key driver in Kia’s recent growth. Named 2025 World Car of the Year, the full-electric SUV joins a wave of new launches including the EV4 electric sedan and the Tasman pick-up, which are expected to further support sales growth throughout the year.

In April, SUVs continued to underpin Kia’s global performance. The Sportage remained the brand’s best-seller worldwide with 47,737 units, followed by the Seltos at 25,543 units, and the Sorento at 23,855 units.

Kia said it aims to maintain sales momentum through the remainder of 2025 by capitalising on its new model introductions and strengthening its global electrification strategy through customer-centric initiatives and targeted investments.
