Kia Corporation is set to return to Milan Design Week 2025 with two exhibitions that blend design, culture and mobility innovation, showcasing the brand’s evolving philosophy and support for diverse artistic voices.

The public exhibition ‘Opposites United: Eclipse of Perceptions’ will take place from 7th to 13th April at the Museo della Permanente, while ‘Transcend Journey’, an exclusive installation exploring Kia’s latest vehicle technologies, will run from 7th to 9th April at Eastend Studios.

‘Eclipse of Perceptions’ continues Kia’s commitment to creative collaboration, providing a platform for artists from diverse backgrounds to interpret its ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy.

Conceptual artworks from acclaimed names such as Philippe Parreno and A.A. Murakami will invite visitors to engage with themes of contrast, transformation and human experience through sculpture, sound and light.

Spread across multiple rooms, the exhibition promises a sensory journey designed to inspire a reassessment of what’s possible.

This latest showcase builds on the brand’s previous appearances at Milan Design Week, where immersive art experiences have been used to reflect Kia’s vision for sustainable, forward-thinking mobility.

Running concurrently at Eastend Studios, ‘Transcend Journey’ explores how Kia’s new Purpose Built Vehicle (PBV) and electric vehicle (EV) models can support adventurous, lifestyle-led mobility.

A sculpture will form the centrepiece of the installation, symbolising the convergence of contrasting concepts.

The exhibit will also include collaborations with South Korean outdoor and coffee brands to illustrate how Kia vehicles connect city living with outdoor exploration.

This marks Kia’s third consecutive year at Milan Design Week, having first introduced its Opposites United philosophy to the event in 2023.

That inaugural exhibition presented key design pillars inspired by the contrasts of nature and humanity, using immersive installations across seven halls to express a vision of sustainable, emotional mobility.

In 2024, the theme Intersections Beyond Boundaries further expanded Kia’s narrative, encouraging imagination and exploration through bold, unconventional works that defied traditional creative limitations.

With Eclipse of Perceptions and Transcend Journey, Kia continues to push the boundaries of design and experience – placing innovation, diversity and cultural expression at the heart of its brand evolution.
