Jeep unveils exclusive video series on the creation of the Avenger 4xe
Jeep is offering a behind-the-scenes look at the design and innovation behind the Avenger 4xe with an exclusive four-part video series launching today (10th March).
Jeep is pulling back the curtain on the development of the Avenger 4xe with an exclusive four-part video series that explores the design process, real-world inspirations, and the cutting-edge technology that shaped this game-changing B-SUV.
Every legendary vehicle has an origin story, and the Avenger 4xe is no exception. The design of Jeep’s latest electrified SUV is deeply rooted in the experiences and perspectives of the Jeep Europe design team, who drew inspiration from adventure, functionality, and exploration.
“Designing the Avenger 4xe was about more than just aesthetics, it was about crafting a vehicle that is practical, versatile, and ready for anything. Every detail embodies a function and reflects our passion for adventure, our respect for Jeep’s heritage, and our commitment to push the boundaries of electrified capability. Experience a vehicle that not only epitomises design excellence but also enhances the journey with adaptability and innovative features,” said Daniele Calonaci, head of Jeep design Europe.
The video series follows key members of the design team, including Ricardo and Lorenzo, who, despite their different backgrounds in Mexico and France, share a common passion for designing vehicles that balance adventure and practicality. Dain and Sacha, from Korea and Ireland, explore how off-roading and nature-inspired elements are made accessible for families, while Mitch and Federico, along with Daniele and his team, reveal how adrenaline-fueled experiences shaped the Avenger 4xe’s most iconic features.
The Avenger 4xe blends practicality with adventure, featuring design elements such as rear tow hooks, roof rails for extra cargo capacity, and interiors made from robust, washable, and waterproof materials. The vehicle’s off-road capabilities are enhanced with a Selec-Terrain system for optimal adaptability, anti-scratch bumpers for protection, a matte hood sticker to reduce glare, and improved technical angles for tackling rough terrain.
As part of Jeep’s electrification journey, the Avenger 4xe integrates a state-of-the-art all-wheel-drive hybrid system, powered by a 1.2-litre turbo engine producing 136hp, supported by dual 21kW electric motors on the front and rear axles. The 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission enables seamless transitions, allowing for full-electric operation at low speeds. The SUV reaches a top speed of 120mph and accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 9.5 seconds, ensuring an exciting drive on and off the road.
