Trade auction firm Hudson Kapel has launched a live auction app for car dealers.
The app has the same functionality as Hudson Kapel’s website, allowing dealers to place bids on ongoing auctions, view inventory, as well as listen to and view the running order of live auctions.
Simon Withey (pictured), director at Hudson Kapel, said: “Our aim has always been to simplify the remarketing journey without compromising on choice or speed.
“The app puts buyers in the auction room, wherever they are. It’s about creating tools that match the flexibility today’s market demands.”
Hudson Kapel auctions cars from fleets, leasing companies, and finance companies across the UK, across three weekly live auctions.
The app, available on Android and iOS, is part of the firm’s push for technical innovation, along with recent additions such as digital auctions and 360-degree vehicle imaging.
Hudson Kapel has also recently invested £3.5m in refurbishment facilities, across its Norton, Throckmorton, and Thurleigh sites, with new workshops, defect tracking software and quality control systems, as well as in-house imaging capacity.
Withey said: “Owning and controlling our own technology stack enables Hudson Kapel to update systems quickly and adapt to customer feedback without relying on third-party platforms.
“In a market where consolidation can sometimes slow innovation, our independence has become a strength.
“Our growth is built on listening to customers, investing in technology, and delivering better outcomes for everyone in the supply chain, from fleets to dealers.”
