Autonomous driving software developer Oxa has announced a partnership with specialist industrial vehicle supplier Bradshaw EV, aiming to supply self-driving vehicles for a variety of industrial applications.

The partnership will see Oxa Driver, Oxa’s proprietary autonomous driving system, installed on a range of electric industrial vehicles supplied by Bradshaw EV.

The self-driving technology has been developed to tackle labour shortages and improve efficiency, allowing for the automation of certain tasks.

Drew Bradshaw, joint managing director at Bradshaw EV, said: “At Bradshaw EV, we are constantly seeking innovative ways to enhance the value and capability we offer our customers.

“Collaborating with Oxa enables us to offer state-of-the-art autonomous solutions that drive efficiency, safety, and operational resilience for industrial workflows.”

Initially, the technology will be deployed on the T800 8-tonne tow tractor, typically used at airports and on large industrial sites, as well as the Club Car Carryall 500, which is typically used on large offroad sites.

Automation on the Club Car Carryall 500 will allow for autonomous data collection and asset monitoring, while the T800 will automate logistical tasks.

Gavin Jackson, CEO of Oxa said: “Collaborating with Bradshaw EV allows us to deploy our autonomous technology on trusted vehicle platforms like the T800 and Carryall 500 at scale.

“Together, we are providing businesses with safe, reliable self-driving solutions that directly address operational inefficiencies and challenges, unlocking significant productivity gains across various repetitive mobility and transportation workflows.”
