Bowker Motor Group expects a 20% increase in used car and motorcycle sales across the group in 2025, citing a strategic shift towards strengthening its core franchise partnerships. This follows the group’s recent investment in Porsche Centre Bolton and its long-term plan to enhance customer experience through its key brand relationships.
Paul Bowker, CEO of Bowker Motor Group, said: “With our franchise centres driving more customer engagement than ever, we’re in a great position to grow our used car and motorcycle businesses. By focusing on our key brand partnerships, we can offer a wider range of approved used vehicles backed by manufacturer support and high standards of service.”
The group’s strategy follows over a decade of diversification, which included the launch of a prestige automotive retail site in the Ribble Valley in 2012. This dealership introduced a non-franchise offering alongside Bowker’s BMW and MINI businesses in Blackburn and Preston. However, the company has now decided to consolidate its operations within its main franchise centres, leading to the planned closure of Bowker Ribble Valley.
Paul Bowker added: “We’ve always adapted our business to deliver the best possible service to our customers. With recent investments like Porsche Centre Bolton and our Group Preparation Centres, coupled with the continued strength of our franchise operations, we’re confident that 2025 will see even greater opportunities for growth in the used car and motorcycle market.”
Bowker Motor Group continues to expand its presence across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, focusing on strengthening its franchise partnerships and increasing its approved used vehicle offering.
