Bowker Motor Group has acquired Porsche Centre Bolton from Lithia Motors Group UK.

The acquisition doubles the brand’s representation in the eight-strong Bowker porfolio, alongside Porsche Centre Preston and outlets for BMW, MINI, BMW Motorrad and Ineos Automotive.

Located on Manchester Road, Porsche Centre Bolton first opened in August 2006 and was previously part of the Stratstone Group. It employs more than 50 staff serving a territory extending across the Greater Manchester area.

Many of the Porsche Centre Bolton team have been with the Centre since its opening in 2006 and have over 150 combined years of technical expertise.

The Centre will now operate under the Bowker Motor Group, a family-run business with a strong regional presence in Lancashire. The acquisition comes in the year the Group celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Bowker’s Preston Porsche centre has regularly clocked up awards and in 2023 finished second of 46 Centres on the Porsche GB Balanced Scorecard, which evaluates operational performance.

Announcing the acquisition Bowker Motor Group CEO Paul Bowker said that reinforces the Group’s commitment to delivering exceptional service to Porsche customers across the North West.
