One of the largest dealer groups in the UK has opened a new outlet in Edinburgh selling cars from Vauxhall and new-to-the-UK brand Leapmotor.

The showroom, on Cultins Road, becomes the 23rd Vauxhall outlet operated by Arnold Clark, which has close to 200 dealerships representing 28 brands across the UK.

The centre hosts more than 200 new and used cars in stock and will also be an outlet for one of Arnold Clark’s newest franchises, Chinese electric vehicle company Leapmotor – the brand is just beginning its UK launch process as part of a major investment by Vauxhall owner Stellantis Group.

The Leapmotor presence will launch with the brand’s first two UK-bound electric vehicles available in the UK – the T03, a compact city car which offers a range of 165 miles, and the C10, a mid-sized SUV with a range of 261 miles. The T03 is expected to be one of the cheapest EVs on the market at prices apron £16,000.

Arnold Clark brand director David Boyd has welcomed the opening of another Vauxhall outlet to the group, saying it will offer customers even more choice.

“We’re also delighted to be showcasing Leapmotor, a recent addition to the Arnold Clark family – Leapmotor is an innovative and forward-thinking brand, and one which I’m sure will be very well received,” Boyd added.
