TrustFord raised over £5000 fro charity with its annual charity fishing in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The event at Messingham Sands Fishery, Scunthorpe brought together 22 suppliers, colleagues and customers who competed over six hours to see who could hook the biggest haul of fish. TrustFord’s sales director David Cox won on the day with 113lbs 3ozs netted, beating the nearest competitor by over 20lbs.

In 2016, TrustFord colleagues raised over £37,000 for Cancer Research UK. The total funds raised at the Messingham Sands Fishery event included donations from companies including Enterprise and City Auction Group, Belfast.

David Cox, Sales Director at TrustFord commented: “I was obviously really happy to win the competition, but today was about raising as much money as possible for our charity partner Cancer Research UK. Thanks to a number of donations from those involved in the competition and other companies, we’ve reached a record total. Thank you so much to everyone who got involved.”
