A team of 12 employees from Glasgow-based Startline Motor Finance have raised in excess of £3,500 for the Saturday Café charity, by taking part in the Great Scottish Run.

Eight of the 12 strong team completed a 10K, while a further four finished the half marathon route. Around 30,000 took part in the event in total. The funds raised by the Startline team will go to the Saturday Café, a Glasgow club that provides a short break and recreational activities for disabled children and young people – promoting social integration, health and wellbeing.

Startline’s Head of Human Resources, Sara Copeland, commented, “Taking part in this kind of event is good for everyone. It raises funds for a very worthwhile charity – and one with which we have personal links – while promoting healthy activity across the company.”

Paul Burgess, CEO at Startline and a long-time hobby runner, added, “There’s a lot of enthusiasm for running here at Startline and it is good to have such a high level of involvement. We’d like to say thank you to our many sponsors across the motor finance industry.”
