Startin Honda played host to the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Dave Tyler, and British Touring Car (BTCC) Champion, Matt Neal, to announce the winning design of its school competition to create a wrap scheme for the new Honda Civic.

The winning design came from James Holden from Redhill School in Stourbridge, James’ design encorporated the Black Country, Stourbridge flag and logos of Redhill School, Team Dynamics and Startin Honda. The car will be displayed in the Startin Honda showroom for the next couple of weeks before being moved for a display slot at Redhill School. The other ten finalists will also be rewarded by visiting Team Dynamics’ brand-new race facility in Droitwich this Autumn.

Tim Freeman, Startin Honda dealer principal, said, “We were delighted to finally reveal the winning design for this competition, along with a couple of VIPs to make the announcement. It was no easy task to choose a winner but the final design shows some fantastic creativity and we think the right choice has been made. The car will be proudly displayed in our Stourbridge showroom over the next couple of weeks before deservedly being given to Redhill School.”

Martyn Orton, assistant headteacher at Redhill School, added, “A huge congratulations goes to James, a worthy winner in what has been an exciting competition and a source of great pride for the school. Our thanks go to both the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Dave Tyler, and Matt Neal for taking the time to unveil the new-look car and to Startin Honda for sponsoring the competition and allowing our students to demonstrate their creativity.”
