Glyn Hopkin has donated a minibus to the National Autistic Society’s Anderson School.

The Renault Trafic Passenger LWB will be used to help students participate in more off-site activities as part of the school’s ‘Adventure Learning Programme’. The Anderson School is a purpose-built autism-specific school, supporting students aged 11-19 by preparing them for life and employment or training. Last year, the school helped more than 1,000 employers to gain a better understanding of autism through its engagement programmes.

Gary Simm, Principal at the National Autistic Society Anderson School, commented, “Here at the National Autistic Society Anderson School, we strive to provide our students with as many opportunities as possible and this bus will be used every week for our Adventure Learning Programme. We are so grateful to Glyn Hopkin for visiting our school and personally donating a minibus.”

Glyn Hopkin added, “I visited the school back when it was still being built so it was very gratifying to see it up and running. I’m proud and pleased to support the school and to hand over the new vehicle, which I am certain will help enrich the lives of many young individuals.”

The National Autism Society, was established more than 50 years ago and is now the largest provider of specialist autism services.

Glyn Hopkin concluded: “Our charitable organisation has been working closely with a number of Autism-related causes, and most recently launched a new employment scheme, ‘SPACE’, to help young people with Autism to secure work positions – including within the Glyn Hopkin motor retail business.”
