Lookers Glasgow Van Centre (Darnley) has signed up to sponsor a Glasgow ice hockey team, Braehead Clan for the forthcoming season.
With crowds for home games exceeding 4000, Stephen Whitelaw, Head of Business at Glasgow Van Centre (Darnley) believes the sponsorship is good for the business: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring Breahead Clan. It is the first time we have agreed such a partnership and we are really looking forward to the season.
“Ice hockey is one of the most spectacular sports in Glasgow, and pulls in enormous crowds, and we are proud to be supporting such a great up-and-coming sport.”
Volkswagen Van Centre Glasgow Darnely, is part of the Lookers group who operate over 160 franchise dealerships, representing 31 vehicle manufacturers and delivering over 200,000 vehicles a year to customers across the UK and Ireland.
Stephen concluded: “Sports sponsorship has always featured strongly within the group, and we are excited to be a part of it.”
