Startin Honda, in association with Team Dynamics who run Honda’s British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) team, has offered students from Redhill School in Stourbridge the chance to design the livery of a BTCC vehicle.

The competition winner, who will be chosen by three-time BTCC champion, Matt Neal, will have their design applied to the new tenth generation Honda Civic.  The students who design the top ten entries will be invited to visit Team Dynamics’ brand new race facility in Droitwich.  The winning design is to be unveiled at Startin Honda’s dealership in Stourbridge. The car will then go on display at the for a short period time.

Tim Freeman, Startin Honda dealer principal, said: “Startin Honda aims to be a fundamental part of the vibrant community in Stourbridge and our sponsorship of this competition is testament to this.  We want to inspire the students at Redhill School to demonstrate their creativity and we’re really looking forward to seeing what ideas they come up with. Who knows, we might even inspire a budding racing champion and that will only be positive for both Honda and the local community.”

Martyn Orton assistant headmaster of Redhill School added: “Our students are really excited at the prospect of seeing their designs featured on the new Honda Civic. It’s fantastic to be able to work with a local company, such as Startin Honda, and give pupils a different creative challenge. I’m sure the competition will be hotly contested, as we have lots of talented pupils here at Redhill and we’re looking forward to the chosen design becoming a feature within the local area.”
