TrustFord Barnsley hosted its annual Performance Day this month, raising over £1,300 for charity partner Cancer Research UK.

The event saw in excess of 800 local residents and car enthusiasts visiting the Wakefield Road dealership, where there was a driving simulator to test people’s skills as well as a bouncy castle and face painting.

Stuart Cresswell, TrustFord’s Service Director, got into the spirit of the event  and went into the stocks, which in itself raised over £560 for Cancer Research UK. A charity raffle for Cancer Research UK was also held on the day.

Glen Kenington, General Manager at TrustFord Barnsley, said “Our Barnsley Performance Day was another huge success. It was brilliant to give visitors the chance to drive some of our favourite car models, enter a raffle and see the great work that our team, along with Barnsley College, had done in transforming a normal car in to a motor fit for racing.

“We hope everyone who came along had a great time, and we were happy to be able to raise over £1,300 for Cancer Research UK. The charity does such valuable work in the local community and around the UK, and we’re looking forward to continuing to support them at our future events.”
