Fourteen members of staff from Reading, Berks based van dealership, Anchor Vans have agreed to swap transits for trainers in a bid to raise much needed funds for Prostate Cancer UK, by taking on the London West Tough Mudder event on May 7th.

With sponsorship pledged by MotoNovo Finance, the team made up of Simon Joyce, Greg Joyce, Lindsay Joyce, Lucy Joyce, Robert Smith, Andy Tucker, Stephen Gladwin, Carl Brookes, Craig Mayne, Rob Gray, Antony Gray, Nathan Oakes and Aron Stroner and Kate Johnson (from MotoNovo), will splash and crawl their way through 12 miles of mud and obstacles.

Referring to the challenge his team faces, Anchor Vans Managing Director and some-time iron-man competitor, Simon Joyce says, “This is no walk in the park. Our team has mixed abilities but the whole point of Tough Mudder is to work together. There simply is no other way to overcome the obstacles. It’s going to be a day we’ll never forget, especially as it’s to support a very important cause”.

Anchor Vans will be matching all funds they raise and have set up a JustGiving page to take donations, it can be found here: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/TeamAnchorVans
