SVA charity auction raises record £38,000 for Chestnut Tree House
Shoreham Vehicle Auctions raises £38,000 for Chestnut Tree House in its 15th annual charity auction, bringing total donations since 2011 to more than £340,000.
Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) has raised a record £38,000 in its 15th annual charity auction in support of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, marking the highest total raised in a single year since the event began in 2011. The milestone brings the total donations from SVA to the hospice to over £340,000.
A total of 27 vehicles were generously donated by south coast car dealers and successfully sold during the auction. SVA further supported the cause by contributing an additional £250 per vehicle, boosting the final fundraising amount.
This year’s event achieved unprecedented success thanks to strong engagement from dealers and buyers in the region. Yeomans Group led the contributions with 20 vehicles donated – their highest number to date. Other supporters included Tates Group, Frosts4Cars, Birchwood Group, and Hendy Group. Racing driver Nathan Edwards also contributed four VIP tickets to a Vertu MINI CHALLENGE JCW round, part of a British Touring Car Championship weekend.
Alex Wright, managing director at Shoreham Vehicle Auctions and a patron of Chestnut Tree House, said: “Once again, the south coast motor trade has stepped up to support this amazing cause. We are incredibly proud to have raised £38,000 this year. Every donation, bid, and vehicle sold helps make a real difference to the children and families supported by Chestnut Tree House.”
Chestnut Tree House supports children and young adults with life-limiting conditions across Sussex and southeast Hampshire, providing services such as hydrotherapy, respite care, and sensory activities.
Stuart Palma, CEO of Chestnut Tree House, added: “To have reached over £340,000 raised is nothing short of astonishing. We are so grateful to SVA, the dealers, and every single buyer who contributed this year.”
