Stellantis &You UK, the multi-franchise manufacturer’s in-house retail operation, has gained its first Vauxhall outlet outside London after acquiring the dealership in Selly Oak, Birmingham formerly owned by Lookers.
According to Stellantis &You UK the acquisition of the Birmingham retailer marks a significant milestone as the group ramps up its multi-franchise expansion plans, the Stellantis brand now including some eight mainstream manufacturers on sale in the UK.
Recently a new Fiat and Abarth showroom was added at the group’s flagship outlet in Chiswick, West London while a new six-brand showroom is also set to open in Bristol in the summer, adding the Alfa Romeo and Jeep brands to the Stellantis &You UK portfolio.
The group recently celebrated the first anniversary of its name change from Robins & Day, which had a UK automotive retail history stretching back 100 years. Stellantis &You UK currently has 24 Peugeot, 17 Citroën, five DS, five Vauxhall, three Fiat and three Abarth new car franchise retailers and five Distrigo parts distribution hubs in 33 locations across the UK.
The majority of the Birmingham Selly Oak team have been retained following the handover. The site will continue to offer new cars and vans, alongside a dedicated used car forecourt accommodating around 70 vehicles. The site also holds full aftersales facilities including dedicated service and MOT bays.
